TUNA SALAD SANDWICH

Ingredients:

  • 1 can tuna (5 oz), drained
  • 2-3 tbsp mayonnaise (or Greek yogurt for a lighter option)
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard (optional, for extra flavor)
  • 1 stalk celery, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp red onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley or dill, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 slices of bread (whole wheat, sourdough, or your favorite type)
  • Lettuce leaves and tomato slices (optional, for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Make the tuna salad: In a medium bowl, combine the tuna, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, celery, red onion, and parsley (or dill). Mix well, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  2. Assemble the sandwich: Place a scoop of tuna salad on one slice of bread. Top with lettuce and tomato if desired, then add the second slice of bread.
  3. Serve: Cut in half if desired, and enjoy!

Tips:

  • For a twist, add a handful of chopped pickles or capers for a briny flavor.
  • Serve with a side of potato chips or a small salad for a complete meal.
