OVERNIGHT OATS

Ingredients:

  • Base:
    • 1/2 cup rolled oats
    • 1/2 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
    • 1/4 cup yogurt (optional, for creaminess)
  • Sweetener (optional):
    • 1-2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • Toppings (your choice):
    • Fresh fruits (banana, berries, apples, etc.)
    • Nuts or seeds (almonds, walnuts, chia seeds, etc.)
    • Nut butter (peanut butter, almond butter, etc.)
    • Spices (cinnamon, vanilla extract, etc.)

Instructions:

  1. Combine Ingredients: In a jar or container, mix together the rolled oats, milk, and yogurt (if using). Add sweetener if desired.
  2. Add Toppings: Layer your chosen toppings on top of the oats. You can also mix some of them in for added flavor.
  3. Cover and Refrigerate: Seal the jar or container and place it in the refrigerator overnight (or at least for 4-5 hours).
  4. Serve: In the morning, stir the oats and add more milk if you prefer a creamier consistency. Enjoy it cold or warm it up in the microwave if you like it hot.

Tips:

  • Feel free to experiment with different flavor combinations!
  • You can prepare several jars at once for a quick breakfast throughout the week.
